28 Days of Healthy Living; Day Two

If it takes a minimum of 21 days to make a habit; I’m giving myself 28 days. 28 days of aiming to be healthier. To eat better, exercise more frequently and make healthier choices throughout the day. this is with the hope that by the time the 28 days is over I will have created a much healthier approach to life. Day one didn’t go too badly! Day two, thankfully, followed suit (kind of).

Day two: I was off work so I had a little more time on my hands to make food and exercise. Although we were due to spend the evening in Poole so after an hour sat in traffic I’m afraid I did eat a McDonald’s for dinner (OOPS!).

Food: Strawberries and natural yoghurt for breakfast and a lunch of avocado, smoked cheese and chilli sauce on toast. I had to have some more buttered toast after my run to as I was feeling a bit shaking around 3 o’clock.

Exercise: A healthy 15300 steps. I did a 6km run. 50 sit ups, 50 press ups and a 60 second plank. I also took the dog out for two walks. So in all not too bad. I also cleaned my house from top to bottom so was on my feet most of the day.

Promoting good mental health: Mental health after all is as important as physical health so I took a little time to cuddle up with the dog and watch Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets!

The unhealthy bit: well obviously the McDonalds. But my calorie count wasn’t too bad really. It all balanced out at the end of the day.

Over all: it’s not a bad day I drank lots of water and was pretty active. I also took an hour to relax. All in all a good (ish) healthy day.

2 done now; wish me luck for the next 26 day!
