28 Days of Healthy Living; Day 4

If it takes a minimum of 21 days to make a habit I’m giving myself 28 days. 28 days of aiming to be healthier. Follow healthy habits through out my day; To eat better, exercise more frequently and make healthier choices. This is all with the hopes that by the time the 28 days is over I will have created a much healthier approach to life. I’m hoping to run a marathon at the end of the year and want to be healthy and ready when I do! I tend to follow diets / health for a short time then it drops off the map. I want to make a change that will stick!
Day 4 today!

Another day at work. I tend to struggle with munching goodies at work. Today I was pretty good. I had prepped my snacks and brought soup in. I didn’t bring ANY sweet treats (but I did have a biscuit courtesy of my lovely co-workers).

Food: Porridge for breakfast, crackers and spreadable cheese for my snack and half a carton of soup for lunch. I did also bring a piece of buttered bread but dropped it on the floor butter side up so had to go without (I have 0 luck!). Dinner was a 400-calorie lasagne with a salad and a couple of chips it was also delicious. In truth I didn’t feel too hungry or like I was missing out today.

Exercise: Its my rest day from running so no Kilometres today. I walked the dog this morning but a busy schedule before dog training meant my husband took him in the evening. 80 second plank, 100 sit ups, 100 push up, 50 squats.

Promoting good mental health: Wednesdays are dog training and I love it. It’s a real positive for me. I love seeing how much Duke has come along and all we have achieved.

The unhealthy bit: I drank hardly anything but tea as I ran out of bottled water! This left me feeling a bit rubbish mid-day. Note to self; get some bottled water tomorrow!

Overall: not a very active day, but as rest days go not awful. I wish I had gotten out for a second walk with the dog, but you can’t have everything.

    1. I’m hoping to do the Bournemouth marathon. I’ve done a half and a few ten mile runs but this would be my first full!
