28 Days of Healthy Living; Day 6

If it takes a minimum of 21 days to make a habit I’m giving myself 28 days. 28 days of aiming to be healthier. I’m consciously Follow healthy habits. I’m trying to eat better, exercise more frequently and make healthier choices.

I’m doing this all with the hope that by the time the 28 days is over I will stick to a much healthier lifestyle

This is mostly because I’m hoping to run a marathon at the end of the year and want to be healthy and ready when I do! I tend to follow diets / health for a short time then it drops off the map. I want to make a change that will stick!

Day 6 today!

Thank god it’s Friday! I’m shattered. Fridays are busy days for us; work, shopping, dog training etc. So typically it’s a rest day from running (I’ve ended up having three this week!) but I’m on the go all day.

Food: Toast, a Packet of Maltesers, a half a pasta pot and hot dog and chips. So over all not a winning day when it comes to food! I drank lots of water today though (and feel better for it!).

Exercise: 60 second plank, 120 sit ups, 110 push up, 20 squats. I also did some unusual upper body work in the form of learning to do a handstand! As usual Duke and I went for a walk this morning and Fridays is dog training so I’m on my feet for most of that.

Promoting good mental health: dog training is really enjoyable, it’s definitely a positive in my day.

The unhealthy bit: the food obviously!

Overall: okay it isn’t great but if that’s a cheat day it’s not a bad one as some of the healthy habits have stuck!

Day 6 down, 22 to go !
