28 Days of Healthy Living: Day 7

If it takes a minimum of 21 days to make a habit I’m giving myself 28 days. 28 days of aiming to be healthier. To eat better, exercise more frequently and make healthier choices throughout the day with the hopes that by the time the 28 days is over I will have created a much healthier approach to life.

Saturday! I love the weekend, plenty of time to go running, walk the dog and relax . Although I didn’t lay in this weekend. Why didn’t I have a lay in this weekend? Well the wrong alarm went off. I thought it was 7 am so I jumped up made toast, gulped down a cup of coffee, made another while I ate my toast and brought it up to my husband; only to check my phone and realise it was 5am! Clever me.

Food: Toast at 5am (face palm), toast again after park run and a chicken and salad sandwich for lunch. Tonight is burns night celebrations so we will be drinking and eating most of the night (yeah I know not the healthiest!)…. I’m also about to have a donut.

Exercise: A healthy 18192 steps by 3pm. I did a 5km run, my first park run, and a 6 mile walk with the doggy. 100 sit ups, 50 press ups and a 90 second plank.

Promoting good mental health: We are off out tonight, the first time in a while, for some much needed time relaxing with my husband and having fun!

The unhealthy bit: Well… that will be drinking, eating and staying up late! So most of the day really.

Over all: A really active day! I’m happy with my Park run time: 28 mins 25 seconds. That’s not bad at all. I don’t feel one ounce of guilt regarding eating and drinking tonight.

7 days done!
