28 Days of Health Living: Day 17.

If it takes a minimum of 21 days to make a habit I’m giving myself 28 days. In my 28 days I’m going to be as health as I can (I hope). I will follow much healthier habits. Hopefully by repeating them every day for 4 weeks I will have enforce them so they become part of my life. I’m going to eat better healthier food and to exercise more frequently. When the 28 days are over I’m hoping all these habits stick! Why? Well I’ve been stuck in an unhealthy rut and because I want to run a marathon in October.

I did pretty okay today!!

Food: A piece of toast (the dog had the other piece) for breakfast. A cheeky bit of yummy cheese cake, from one of the lovely ladies at work, made a good mid morning snack. Then I had two wraps with raw peppers, a small bit of cheese and ham and a bit of sour cream and some chilli. Dinner was fish goujons, oven chips, beans and some veggies. And a naughty chocolate pud. I’ve adjusted my portions over the last few weeks so I’m eating smaller meals even when they aren’t the healthiest.

Exercise: 2 dog walks, 5.5 km hilly run. 15 minuets on the bike, 70 second plank, 110 sit ups and 50 press ups. I’m happy with that!

Promoting good mental health: I’ve taken some time to relax tonight.

The unhealthy bit: the food wasn’t health healthy, but! I made the effort to make lunch and I’m getting use to sorting a health but yummy lunch every day for work!

Overall: I had a pretty active day so I’m happy with that! I’ve also eaten a lot more sensibly even with all the pudding!!
