Today I made a memory jar. To store all our favourite memories from this year. On New Year’s Eve we can open it up and reflect on all the wonderful things that have happened. It’s a lovely little way to store up the happiness. And see the jar filling as the year goes on.
I’ve been wanting to do this for a while but finally did it today. I picked a large jar as we plan to have a pretty good year. And of course I decorated it.
I was spurred on because this week , and the last few weeks, have had some sad points. Truly difficult times so early in the year. It’s easy to be swept up in the bad. But I don’t want the good, happy memories to get lost. I have been reminded how important happy memories are and how important sharing them is.
I finally started the jar. I can glance at it and see how full it’s getting. A little visual way to help remind us how much happiness we have in our live.
I’ve added a few in, hopefully my husband will remember to add some too and we can open the jar with a bootle of wine and reminisce.
